Leeds defender Diego Llorente is close to a return to Roma this summer following his successful loan spell. The Spanish centre-back spent the 2022-23 campaign with the Giallorossi and is reportedly keen to return to the club.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that after agreeing deals for Houssem Aouar and Evan N’Dicka, Roma are close to making their third signing this month. The deal with Leeds is reportedly agreed, after Giallorossi General Manager Tiago Pinto successfully negotiated Llorente’s return to Roma earlier this week.
The parties have reached an agreement for a new loan for Llorente but discussions are still underway to decide whether or not to include the option of buying him outright next summer.
