New Napoli signing Natan revealed that Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva is an inspiration and that he can cover multiple positions, like his idol. The 22-year-old arrived in Naples last week in a reported €10 million deal, and was presented to the media today:
“I like the number 3, I used to play with it in Flamengo’s youth team. This number was Kim’s (Min-Jae), he is a great defender, congratulations to him. I was working hard in Brazil for big teams like Napoli to call me. Speed, covering, technique and grit are my characteristics. I am inspired by Thiago Silva.”
“Juan Jesus and Mario Rui help me a lot on and off the field. I like to play central defender, if needed I can also play fullback. The Italian league is a very strong and technical league. You play defensive football, so it is easy for a defender to choose to come and play here. My agent and my friends in Brazil helped me get to know this league.”
