Bundesliga side Union Berlin have been in contact with Juventus once again as they look to agree a deal for Leonardo Bonucci. The former club captain has been left without a squad number for the new season, reinforcing their decision to leave him out of their plans for the 2023-24 campaign.
Sky Sport Italia report that there have been new contacts between the parties to seek a definitive deal: Union Berlin are pressing for the Italian defender who is now deciding what his future will be.
The move is still on standby for the moment, however, Lazio remain an outside possibility for the veteran defender. If things do not change in the coming days, then Bonucci could indeed leave Italy and move to the Bundesliga.
