Walter Sabatini has left his position as director of sport at Salernitana after just a few months at the club, saying “These things happen.” The sporting director was credited with helping the club avoid the drop last month, thanks to a series of canny transfers that helped them go on an unbeaten run of 7 games and avoid relegation on the final day of the season.
