Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has confirmed that he will be travelling to Rome tomorrow to sign for the Giallorossi. Roma directors were in England today to finalise a deal with the Blues, and by all accounts, they’ve secured their man. News broke earlier this week that the 30-year-old forward was being linked with a move to Roma, where he would reunite with coach Jose Mourinho, making it their third spell together.
Lukaku has now confirmed that he is on his way back to Serie A, telling Laatste Nieuws: “Tomorrow I’m going to Rome to sign the contract.”
It would be the Belgian’s third spell in Serie A, having twice featured for Inter, including a loan period last season where he scored 10 goals in 25 games.
Lukaku is set to join Roma on loan for €5 million with no right or obligation to sign him outright next summer when the loan comes to an end.
