Sandro Tonali said it was an ‘incredible feeling’ to return to the San Siro last night, following Milan’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle United. The Rossoneri had a host of chances to take the lead in a largely one-sided affair, but ultimately had to settle for a point in the opening Champions League round.
It was an emotional return to Tonali, who made the return to Milan just a few months after leaving to join the Magpies. Taking to Instagram after the match, Tonali shared his feelings on the game:
An incredible feeling coming back to what has been my home. Thank you everyone for all your love. We take an important point from a difficult stadium. Focused on the next!!
