Vincenzo Montella has been officially appointed as the head coach of the Turkish national team, taking over the reins from Stefan Kuntz. The 49-year-old former Milan, Fiorentina and Sampdoria coach is expected to be unveiled to the press soon, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.
Montella began his coaching career with Catania in 2011, but has had a mixed managerial career, having only won the SuperCoppa Italiana during his stint with Milan in 2016.
His most recent managerial appointment was in Turkey with Adana Demirspor where he managed a win percentage of 51.28%, playing 78 games, winning 40, drawing 18 and losing 20.
