FIGC president Gabriele Gravina says the investigation into the Victor Osimhen transfer ‘generates tensions’. News broke earlier this week that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is under investigation for alleged false accounting relating to Osimhen’s transfer from Lille to Napoli in 2020.
Gravina was asked about the investigation when leaving an FIGC meeting earlier today and said:
“On the Osimhen case I know as much as you do: as a system we are concerned about internal disruptions, but as a federal system we have confidence in the organs of justice.
“So far I read as you do, I remain waiting for formal and official communications that I do not have. Of course it generates tensions, all this, we would like to live moments of serenity.
“I’m sorry, the league is compelling, I’m sorry to generate these tensions that our season does not deserve to experience.”
