Reports from Italy suggest that former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to make a return to Milan in a managerial role. The Swede has often been tipped to make a move back to the Rossoneri now that his playing career has come to an end. The 42-year-old recently showed up at the clubs Milanello training ground in recent months, first before the derby against Inter and again ahead of the Champions League match with Newcastle.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Ibra’s intention is to have a ‘role in close contact with Stefano Pioli’s team –  Zlatan wants to be the leader of the Milan dressing room.’

The newspaper outlines how ‘everyone in the Diavolo is pushing for his return’, including coach Stefano Pioli and the rest of the team.

Zlatan spent five full seasons with Milan, most recently from 2019-23, which included a famous Scudetto win in 2022.
