Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret is set to miss at least one month of action after picking up a second-degree injury of the left semimembranosus muscle. The Partenopei keeper picked up the knock in their 0-0 draw with Monza on 29 December, and is expected to miss all of January’s matches.

Napoli announced the news via a statement on the clubs official website, saying:

Alex Meret underwent diagnostic tests at the Pineta Grande Hospital, which showed a second-degree injury to his left semimembranosus muscle.

Meret is expected to miss at least 1.5 months of the season, missing matches against Torino, Salernitana, the Italian Super Cup final four, Lazio and Verona.
