Udinese have confirmed that they have banned four more fans for life from the Stadio Fruili following racist abuse aimed at Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. The Frenchman was subject to vile racist chants during the Rossoneri’s 3-2 win over Udinese last week, prompting the shot-stopper to leave the pitch at one point. One fan was identified on Monday and handed a lifetime ban from the Fruili, and Calcio e Finanza now report that more progress has been made in identifying the suspects, relaying a statement from Udineses’ official website:
“Udinese Calcio, following the identification of a further four people responsible for the racist insults to Maignan, announces that it has also banned the four individuals in question from the Bluenergy Stadium for life.”
“As has been the case from the very first moment, the club has continued and continues its work alongside the Questura, confirming absolute firmness in punishing the culprits, as proof of its concrete commitment against all forms of discrimination.”
