Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko believes tonight’s derby against Inter is the perfect opportunity for the Rossoneri to react, following their poor run of form. Milan are out of Europe and the Coppa Italia, while city rivals Inter are set to win Serie A, if they are victorious in the derby. Speaking with 90° Minuto (via PianetaMilan) the former Milan striker shared his thoughts on the upcoming match:
“The Derby? For Milan, there’s an opportunity tomorrow to react in front of their fans, to react and come out with their heads held high.”
“Pioli? He’s a coach who brought great success to Milan; he wrote his own story. This year they tried to be competitive, but Inter had a great season.”
“Leao? He’s a great talent. He lacks consistency throughout the season, but the plays he has, he needs to grow with the personality and the will to carry the team on his shoulders like champions do. He has a long way to continue making Milan’s history.”
