Bologna have confirmed that coach Thiago Motta will leave the club at the end of the season, with Juventus expected to sign the coach. Sky sport Italia report that Motta informed Bologna that he wished to leave the club after their final league game of the season this weekend.

Acknowledging this choice, the club has now thanked the coach for the extraordinary work done and wished him the best fortunes for his future career:

This morning, Thiago Motta told the Club that he would not be renewing his contract with Bologna FC 1909. Now informed of his decision, the Club would like to thank Thiago for the incredible work he has done during his time here and wish him all the best for his career going forward.

“In the past two years, I have got to know a well-prepared and winning coach,” said the Club’s President, Joey Saputo. “He has instilled a brilliant style of play in this time. Reaching the Champions League means he and all these players will go down in our Club’s history. I would have liked him to stay at Bologna but I can only ever thank him and his staff for these amazing two seasons and I wish him the best for the future.”
