These meetings involved Milan’s technical director, Geoffrey Moncada, and his Aston Villa counterpart, Monchi.
Matty Cash, the English-born right-back who represents Poland internationally, is high on Milan’s wish list. The list also includes Emerson Royal from Tottenham and Tiago Santos from Lille. Cash was a central topic in discussions between the two clubs. However, negotiations are not yet advanced, as Aston Villa values Cash at over €20 million. Milan’s interest in Cash dates back to the summer of 2020, when he played for Nottingham Forest.
In addition to Matty Cash, Milan has inquired about Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz. The former Girona player is highly regarded by Moncada and his colleague D’Ottavio.
