The mission to bring Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus is underway, with a meeting scheduled with Atalanta, where young defender Dean Huijsen could play a crucial role.
Tuttosport report that Koopmeiners is Juventus’ primary midfield target as they await the resolution of the Douglas Luiz situation. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is preparing to meet with Atalanta regarding the Dutch midfielder, who has already given his approval to join the Bianconeri and is pushing for a move to Turin to work under Thiago Motta.
According to Tuttosport, the sacrificial piece to lower the financial outlay could be the defender Huijsen, who is admired by Thiago Motta but could be sold for €30 million. The young center-back has attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Girona, and Newcastle, but he could be included in the deal for Koopmeiners with Atalanta.
In the coming days, there will be contact between the clubs, with Juventus presenting an economic offer and, to reduce the total expenditure from Atalanta’s demands of around €60 million, a player exchange that could involve Huijsen.
