Roma’s summer transfer activity continues to heat up as the club explore options to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. After securing Matias Soulé and with Artem Dovbyk potentially on the way, the Giallorossi are now turning their attention to bolstering their wing positions.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via TMW), one of the key areas Roma is looking to improve is the right-wing, where recent players have failed to make a significant impact. While Raoul Bellanova remains the dream target, negotiations with Torino are proving challenging. The Turin-based club is demanding €25 million, though Roma hopes to lower the price by including Nicola Zalewski as part of the deal.

Given the complexities of the Bellanova transfer, Roma’s sporting director is keeping alternatives in mind. Lorenz Assignon from Rennes and Marc Pubill from Almeria have caught the club’s eye, although competition from Premier League sides Aston Villa and Newcastle respectively could complicate matters.

In a surprising development, Roma has now set its sights on a promising young talent from Brazil. Wesley Gassova, commonly known as Wesley, has emerged as a potential target. The 19-year-old Corinthians winger has already established himself as a key player for the São Paulo-based club, boasting an impressive record of 79 appearances and 7 goals despite his young age.

Wesley’s potential acquisition aligns with Roma’s strategy of blending experienced players with young, high-potential talents. His versatility and attacking prowess could provide manager Daniele De Rossi with additional options in the final third.
