Gasperini began by acknowledging Real Madrid’s deserved win: “I was quite confident that we could play a good game and challenge Real. The match changed after the second goal: they deserved the victory. In this type of game, it’s difficult to come back when you fall behind.”
The Italian coach then expressed a mix of disappointment and pride: “We lost a good opportunity given how the match unfolded. There was a chance to take the lead: we need to be more clinical.
