Negotiations between Juventus and Fiorentina for the transfer of Nico Gonzalez are ongoing, but an agreement has yet to be reached between the two clubs regarding the Argentine forward, formerly of Stuttgart.
Just moments before the kickoff of Fiorentina’s Conference League playoff first leg match against Puskas Akademia, Alessandro Ferrari, the general director of the Tuscan club, spoke to Sky Sport about the situation surrounding the 27-year-old player.
Ferrari stated, “The situation is that there are eight days left, and at the moment, the conditions are not right to complete the operation. We’ll see what happens. The basic conditions for the deal are missing. We have no need to sell Nico; we’re happy with him. We’re calm.”
When asked if €40 million would be sufficient to secure the deal, Ferrari responded, “I don’t know.”
These comments suggest that while negotiations are ongoing, Fiorentina is in no rush to sell Gonzalez and is maintaining a firm stance on their valuation of the player. The club appears content to keep the talented winger unless their demands are met.
