The “Double Curva” investigation, coordinated by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office, has effectively decapitated the leadership of Inter’s Curva Nord and AC Milan’s Curva Sud. This probe is expected to have lasting repercussions and growing consequences for both clubs and the city of Milan.

Calciomercato detail how during a recent episode of “The State of Things,” hosted by Massimo Giletti on RAI networks, an anonymous Inter ultras member shed light on the power dynamics that extended far beyond the stadium, encompassing the entire city of Milan.

Speaking about the control over Milan, the ultras explained, “The Curve is made up of people. If the people who govern and manage the Curve have to answer to other people above them, a dominant structure, it’s clear that they then become a control organ for a lot of situations that develop inside and outside the city.”

The influence of the ultras groups reportedly extended to the entertainment industry and celebrity circles. “We’ve seen concerts, artists, all the personalities who can be most influential in the world of young people coming up. And so it means having total control over our city, over Milan,” the anonymous source revealed.

The ultras member also touched on recent changes within the curve’s structure, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic. “After Covid, something changed, it was clear. Boiocchi was seen again in the curve, then what happened, happened. From there, new figures started to pass through and the characters arrived. There was Bellocco who certainly wasn’t one of ours, he came later, in that period, and from there it was understood that there were connections with people who were already inside the Curve and that something was changing.”
