Roma midfielder Nicolo Zanioli will not renew with the club this summer and is Juve’s number one transfer target. The 22-year-old’s contract with the Giallorossi expires in June 2024 and talks over a renewal have not progressed.
Gazzetta dello Sport report today that the player has yet to make a choice on his future but there are conditions in place over a contract renewal.
It’s report that until a few weeks ago, the player was willing to renew with Roma, in the case of a very important offer. Today, however, it seems the player has changed his mind.
Roma are taking their time but are convinced of keeping him, but there is a certain distance between the two parties.
Juventus sense a clear opportunity, in a situation similar to the Dusan Vlahovic deal which was completed in January.
Juve coach Max Allegri likes the player a great deal and at this point the conditions for a ‘big deal’ are all there, report Gazzetta.
The situation remains complex for now as the expected price tag is likely to be high, and Juve have a number of complicated renewals to agree, top of the list being Paulo Dybala.
