Manna on Kvaratskhelia’s renewal: “We expect a development in the short term”

Giovanni Manna, Napoli’s sporting director, spoke to DAZN just before the match against Atalanta, expressing confidence in the team’s current form and addressing key player issues.

Manna began by highlighting the team’s positive momentum: “We’re happy, we’re coming from an extremely positive moment that has given us confidence. Today we face a great team, with two of the best coaches in Italian football facing each other. We need to stay calm, regardless of the result. We want to measure ourselves in these types of matches.”

When asked about the contract renewal of star player Kvaratskhelia, Manna revealed: “We’re talking with Kvhcha and his entourage. We already made an offer in July. We expect a development in the short term, otherwise we’ll wait until the end of the season. We still have two years on his contract and we’ll make our evaluations.”

Regarding Scott McTominay’s impact since joining the team, Manna expressed satisfaction: “Scott is an important player, we certainly didn’t discover him. He has quickly adapted to Italian football, and we’re happy with him as we are with the other players who have arrived. I think he can do even better. He shouldn’t feel any pressure but continue working as he has been doing.”
