Juventus eye Motta’s former Bologna defender Lucumí

Tuttosport (via TMW) report that among the names circulating in Turin is Jhon Lucumí of Bologna. The Colombian defender possesses all the desired characteristics: familiarity with Serie A, strong marking abilities, good game-reading skills, and comfort in building play from the back. Importantly, he is left-footed, a trait currently lacking among Juventus’ central defenders.

Thiago Motta, who coached Lucumí at Bologna, is known to appreciate the player’s qualities. Bologna’s elimination from the Champions League in January and the potential arrival of another defender could make Lucumí available for transfer, especially considering his contract expires in 2026.
