According to Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the primary targets is Giulio Maggiore, a midfielder currently with Salernitana. The 26-year-old from La Spezia has been on Venezia’s radar since the summer, when a deal was nearly completed but fell through at the last minute due to technical issues. Maggiore, who has made 11 appearances in Serie B this season, brings valuable experience with 111 Serie A matches under his belt, including 9 goals and 9 assists from his time with Spezia and Salernitana.
In goal, Di Francesco’s preference for Stankovic in recent matches could pave the way for Jesse Joronen’s departure. Joronen is one of several players whose contracts are set to expire, along with Francesco Zampano, Christian Gytkjaer, and Andersen. Gytkjaer, in particular, could attract interest from Serie B clubs after turning down a move to Sassuolo in the summer.
For the attack, Venezia are eyeing Alberto Cerri, who has found playing time limited at Como under Fabregas. Another potential target is David Ankeye, a 22-year-old Nigerian striker from Genoa who has seen limited action this season.
