Given these constraints, Motta may opt for an unusual approach by fielding an almost unchanged lineup for Sunday’s match. One potential alteration could see Andrea Cambiaso stepping in for Weston McKennie, who has been filling in as a makeshift left-back.
Leading Juventus’ attack will be Dusan Vlahovic, who faces his former club Fiorentina. Despite an impressive record of 44 goals in 98 Serie A appearances for the Viola, Vlahovic has yet to find the net against his old team in four encounters since joining Juventus.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, seem to have found a worthy successor to Vlahovic in Moise Kean, who joined from Juventus this past summer. The Italian striker has hit double figures in goals this season, a feat he has achieved only once before in his career during his loan spell at Paris Saint-Germain in 2020-21.
Kean is expected to lead Fiorentina’s attack on his return to Turin, with support likely coming from two of Lucas Beltran, Riccardo Sottil, Albert Gudmundsson, and Andrea Colpani.
In defensive changes for Fiorentina, Dodo is set to reclaim his right-back position after serving a suspension, replacing Michael Kayode who filled in last weekend.
