Samuel Mbangula – Juventus

Why Samuel Mbangula Could Be the Key to Juventus Signing Dan Ndoye

Start

Juventus are reportedly ready to part ways with 21-year-old winger Samuel Mbangula — but his exit could be more than just a sale. With Bologna emerging as suitors, Juve may seize the opportunity to use Mbangula as a makeweight in a deal for Dan Ndoye.

Is Samuel Mbangula Leaving Juventus?

Juventus are ready to sell Mbangula this summer, with interest growing from Serie A and abroad. Bologna are leading the race, and the Bianconeri could use that to their advantage.

Mbangula started the season strong when Thiago Motta was in charge but has since slipped out of favor under Igor Tudor. Juventus have set a €20m price tag on the Belgian, who also has suitors in England and Germany.

Dan Ndoye Transfer News

Juventus have long admired Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, who scored eight goals this season — including the winner in the Coppa Italia final.

Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a known admirer, and Bologna’s interest in Mbangula could facilitate a swap or package deal.

Bologna, however, is not under pressure to sell. Ndoye’s contract runs until 2027, with an option for a one-year extension. Nonetheless, the club may be open to negotiations at around €40 million, especially if head coach Vincenzo Italiano departs.

Manchester United Target Dan Ndoye

Manchester United are ready to rival Juventus for Dan Ndoye, reigniting interest after a failed approach last summer. The Swiss international previously played for INEOS-linked clubs Nice and Lausanne, potentially giving United some leverage in negotiations.

Premier League interest, combined with Bologna’s strong bargaining position, suggests Juventus should act quickly and creatively to avoid losing out.

Samuel Mbangula Profile

Mbangula is a pacey right-winger known for his close control and dribbling in tight spaces. At 21, he still has room for growth, but his direct style and flair make him a nightmare for defenders when confident.

Developed at Club Brugge and Anderlecht before joining Juventus in 2020, he climbed steadily through the ranks to earn first-team appearances this season.

His early promise was evident with a solo goal in Juve’s opening game against Como. While inconsistency and tactical shifts saw his role diminish, he remains highly rated for his raw talent and attacking instincts.

Juventus Transfer Strategy

Selling Mbangula could be part of a broader Juventus plan under Giuntoli to reshape the squad. With limited spending power, Juve are focusing on capital gains from young talents while targeting efficient reinforcements like Ndoye.

Giuntoli’s approach is balancing financial sustainability with tactical flexibility under Igor Tudor, who prefers wide players with high work rates and direct attacking profiles. Ndoye fits that bill, while Mbangula may not yet offer reliable consistency.

Juventus are also expected to offload fringe players to create room for strategic signings, with wingers and midfielders the priority, and a Mbangula-Ndoye swap could be the first move in a summer rebuild in Turin.
