Simone Inzaghi will be convinced to stay with Inter as club president Beppe Marotta outlines his ambitious summer project for the Nerazzurri.
Marotta is willing to go to great lengths to persuade the head coach his future lies at the San Siro. Rumors that Inzaghi is ready to quit for the Saudi Pro League have dominated the run up to Saturday’s Champions League final.
However, Marotta remains quietly confident of starting the 2025-26 campaign with Inzaghi at the helm. But only if his transfer plans match Inzaghi’s vision.
Inter Transfer Targets
Although the best Serie A betting sites remain uncertain about Simone Inzaghi’s future at Inter, the club president is doing his utmost to keep the Italian in the dugout.
According to Foot Mercato, the Nerazzurri are close to agreeing a deal for Brazilian winger Luis Henrique. The Marseille star would cost approximately €26million.
Other Inter transfer targets include Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. Both have struggled at Man United but previously thrived in Italy.
Ange-Yoan Bonny, Koni De Winter, Jhon Lucumi, and Sam Beukema have also been linked with transferring to the San Siro. On the other hand, Yann Bisseck could leave to help free up funds.
Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa are also set to depart this summer. Much has been made of Lautaro Martinez’s long-term future but winning the Champions League final should encourage El Toro to stay.

Will Simone Inzaghi Manage Al-Hilal?
In April, Simone Inzaghi was guaranteed a new Inter contract if he led the club to at least the Champions League semi-final. Which of course, Inzaghi has bettered.
Nonetheless, the 49-year-old hasn’t put pen to paper amid rumors he could be set to take over at Al-Hilal. The Saudi Pro Leaue side would reportedly give Inzaghi €60miilion over two years.
Not only that, Inzaghi would be given a huge transfer budget to attract new players to the Kingdom Arena. The likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Joao Cancelo already play there.
At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether Inzaghi would join the Blue Waves. If he were to get the better of PSG on Saturday, it would be the perfect send off to try a new venture. Even in defeat, the financial temptations are hard to resist.
Who Could Replace Simone Inzaghi At Inter?
If Simone Inzaghi were to leave Inter, the vacancy remains one of the finest in world soccer. Therefore, the Nerazzurri won’t be short of suitors.
The latest update on Massimiliano Allegri’s next club has seen his name thrown into the mix. The Italian head coach is currently unattached and has won the Scudetto with Juventus and rivals Milan.
Como stakeholder Thierry Henry hinted at a battle to keep Cesc Fabregas amid Roma and Milan links. If he does decide to leave the Sinigaglia, Inter would likely highlight their interest as well.
Simone Inzaghi Inter Contract
The current Simone Inzaghi Inter contract runs out in 12 months time. Hence why club president Beppe Marotta is keen to keep him at the San Siro after all that he has achieved so far for the Nerazzurri.
Although missing out on the Scudetto this year, Inzaghi won the Serie A title in 2024 and has also won the Coppa Italia (2) and Supercoppa Italiana (3).
The 49-year-old led Inter to the Champions Final in 2023 and is aiming to go one better this season. He has helped restore Inter as one of soccer’s global powers and Marotta wants him to pen a new multi-year deal.
