Start

The latest Jack McGlynn transfer news has indicated that various Serie A clubs are tracking the USMNT star.

The 21-year-old currently represents Houston Dynamo in the MLS. McGlynn was traded to the Orange in February from Philadelphia Union and has quickly become a fans favorite at the Shell Energy Stadium.

Jack McGlynn Transfer News

Spanish side Real Sociedad were reportedly interested in acquiring Jack McGlynn last summer. However, that switch didn’t come to fruition and he moved to Houston Dynamo at the beginning of 2025.

McGlynn’s eye-catching performances in midfield have now caught the attention of a cluster of teams in Italy. Scouts are set to fly Stateside to make a solid assessment on the talented midfielder.

Last week, Udinese rivalled Roma in the race for USMNT star Josh Sargent. The forward has been a big hit with English second tier side Norwich over the last three years.

That goes to show just how much Serie A sides are admiring up-and-coming American talent. The likes of Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah and Yunus Musah already play their club soccer in Italy.

Jack McGlynn Stats

Despite being 21, the Jack McGlynn stats are hugely impressive. Primarily a right-midfielder, McGlynn has played 115 games in the MLS and scored nine goals and provided 14 assists.

In his 18 appearances for Houston Dynamo, the USMNT star has registered three goals and has four assists to his name so far.

McGlynn famously scored a long-range thunderbolt against Dallas in May. The youngster has a devastating left foot and has netted from long range on a number of occasions throughout his career.

MLS and Houston Dynamo fans already know that McGlynn has the potential to reach the very top. He certainly has all the attributes and physicality to succeed in Italy and international soccer.

How Many Goals Has Jack McGlynn Scored For The USMNT?

To date, Jack McGlynn has scored twice for the USMNT in his five appearances. Unsurprisingly, both of his strikes were long-rangers whereby the keeper had no chance of saving them.

More notably, he is just the third American star since 1995 to score his first two international goals from outside the penalty area. Joining Danny Williams and Gio Reyna in the exclusive club.

McGlynn scored from distance in the 3-1 friendly win over Venezuela in January. He also managed to register his first USMNT assist in the same game.

More recently, McGlynn scored a cracker in the second minute in the weekend’s friendly against Turkey. The Yanks went on to lose 2-1 with McGlynn being hooked after 65 minutes.

The 21-year-old has been named on the roster for the upcoming Gold Cup in the US owing to his fine performances. Someone who won’t be joining him is Christian Pulisic.

Landon Donovan blasted the USMNT and Milan star for missing the Gold Cup. However, ‘Captain America’s’ withdrawal was approved by head coach Mauricio Pochettino so he could recover after a gruelling league campaign.

Which Serie A Clubs Are Interested In Jack McGlynn?

At the time of writing, the Serie A clubs interested in Jack McGlynn aren’t public knowledge. Nonetheless, it’s understood that five of Italy’s biggest clubs are all keeping tabs on McGlynn’s progress.

Milan would be a likely destination. Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah already play there. However, Musah looks set to move to Napoli but Juventus aren’t out the realm of possibility either.

USMNT team-mates Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah play for the Old Lady. Igor Tudor’s side – similar to the Rossoneri – are rebuilding their roster after a disappointing campiagn in 2024-25.

Elsewhere, the likes of Atalanta, Lazio, Roma and Inter are also reinforcing their midfield for 2025-26. Even a switch to Coppa Italia winners Bologna or Fiorentina would prove a solid move for McGlynn.

Jack McGlynn Transfer Value

According to Transfermarkt, Jack McGlynn’s transfer value is just €5million. That figure was last updated on June 5 but will once again rise if McGlynn stars at the Gold Cup.

Although Serie A sides aren’t typically blessed with the riches that English Premier League sides can boast, McGlynn is very affordable for most of Italy’s top clubs.

From Houston Dynamo’s perspective, they’ll demand a generous price for one of America’s up-and-coming stars. Especially as Philadelphia Union have a sell-on percentage of any future transfer.
