Juventus Target Tottenham Starlet Mikey Moore in Youth-Driven Transfer Strategy

Start

Juventus are doubling down on their strategy of signing high-ceiling young talents, with Tottenham wonderkid Mikey Moore and Monaco starlet Eliesse Ben Seghir emerging as top targets, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri want to build a long-term supporting cast of elite young prospects around their existing talents, such as Kenan Yildiz.

Mikey Moore to Juventus?

17-year-old winger Mikey Moore broke into the Tottenham first team last year, becoming the youngest player to ever appear for the club in the Premier League — debuting at just 16 years and 277 days against Manchester City in May 2024.

Moore made 22 senior appearances across all competitions last season, helping Spurs win the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League and even captaining England U19 earlier this month.

However, an ankle injury sustained against Norway has left his short-term future uncertain, potentially slowing transfer talks.

Still, Juventus are seriously monitoring Moore, whose contract runs until 2027. If new manager Thomas Frank doesn’t prioritize the teenager’s development, a summer move could become more likely — though Spurs would resist selling for anything under €20 million.

Several clubs are circling, including Borussia Dortmund, Birmingham City, and West Brom, but Juventus may have the upper hand with Champions League football and a clear pathway to first-team minutes in Serie A.

Eliesse Ben Seghir Also on Juventus Wishlist

Alongside Moore, Juventus are tracking Eliesse Ben Seghir, the 20-year-old Moroccan international who enjoyed a breakout season with Monaco. He featured in 46 games across all competitions, contributing nine goals and four assists.

Right-footed but often deployed on the left, Ben Seghir’s style — cutting inside and attacking central channels — is akin to Yildiz. Valued at €28–30 million, he would represent a more immediate first-team option.

Juventus’ new general director, Damien Comolli, a former talent scout and club president at Toulouse, is reportedly spearheading both pursuits. His track record suggests he’ll prioritize technically gifted, modern attackers who can grow into stars in Turin.

Mikey Moore Injury Could Delay Transfer Decision

Moore’s ankle injury, picked up while playing for England U19s, will require assessment. He missed the side’s dramatic 5-5 draw against Germany, and any serious damage could force Juventus — and other suitors — to press pause.

Nonetheless, with only one natural left winger (Yildiz) on their books, Juventus are expected to push ahead once Moore’s fitness is clearer.

While a loan deal could be Tottenham’s preferred path, the player may be tempted by Juventus’ offer of immediate involvement at a top European club.
