Is Christian Pulisic leaving AC Milan? That is the question on everybody’s lips this summer amid strong interest from around Europe, but Milan’s CEO is remaining calm over his future.
AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani Adresses Christian Pulisic’s Future
AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has spoken out on some of the club’s key decision points so far this summer, including Max Allegri’s surprise appointment in the managerial hot seat, as well as the future of goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
A crucial off-season has already seen a sea of change, with key players such as Tijjani Reijnders and Theo Hernandez departing the club, and many more expected to leave.
The Milan faithful are hopeful that very few, if any, more starting players will exit this summer, but one man’s name who continues to grab the headlines is Christian Pulisic.
The USA international has been the subject of interest from around the continent, as a much-talked about contract renewal continues to stall.
What once appeared to be a formality, the uncertainty over his extension now hangs ominously over Milan, with the USA star reportedly halting negotiations as he assesses his options.
According to anonymous betting sites, he is still firmly favored to be in Milan next season, however.
Furlani has come out to echo the club’s position and quell the noise surrounding his future, although his comments failed to address what is really happening behind the scenes.
Speaking at a press conference at Casa Milan, Furlani said: “Christian still has three years left on his contract with Milan: it’s not a super emergency. From the club and ownership point of view, he’s a very important player.”
Igli Tare, Milan’s new sporting director, echoed that sentiment, saying “Pulisic will be a key player for the next Milan season.
“I’ll have the chance to discuss the renewal topic with Giorgio Furlani at the right time. Christian has a central role in this group”.
Christian Pulisic for AC Milan in 2024/25.
16 goals. 11 assists. All comps.
Chelsea could have him playing right or left but stupidity prevailed for Sterling and Mudryk purchases.
Looking forward to seeing Pulisic in a #USMNT kit hopefully soon.

Is Christian Pulisic Leaving AC Milan?
Despite Furlani seeking to surpress the speculation around Pulisic’s future, the lack of progress over a new deal is worrying.
Off the back of arguably the finest campaign of his career so far — netting 17 goals and adding 12 assists across all competitions — the 26-year-old had believed to be on the verge of signing a contract extension, with a pay rise, midway through the season.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Pulisic himself asked for more technical guarantees over the direction of the club, amid a hugely underwhelming season that saw them fail to secure European soccer.
It is perhaps telling, however, that Pulisic decided to withdraw from the USMNT Gold Cup roster in order to mentally and physically prepare for next season — even in the face of heavy criticism back home.
Both Tare and Max Allegri will no doubt view Pulisic as an essential leader in Milan’s rebuild, which has so far yet to see them bring in new arrivals.
Luka Modric is, however, widely expected to join following the Club World Cup, while Milan this week lodged a $35 million bid for Ardon Jashani of Club Brugge.
