Milan have officially confirmed the signing of left-back Pervis Estupinan on a long-term deal from Brighton.
Estupinan becomes the first ever Ecuadorian to represent the Rossoneri. The 27-year-old is the fourth summer signing under head coach Max Allegri.
He joins the trio of Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci and Pietro Terracciano at the San Siro. Estupinan is a direct replacement for Theo Hernandez who moved to the Saudi Pro League earlier this summer.
It’s been confirmed that Esupinan will wear the No.2 shirt for the upcoming season. After the transfer was announced, many supporters turned to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on the move.

Pervis Estupinan Joins Milan
Pervis Estupinan has joined Milan for a fee of €17million with a further €2m to be paid in add-ons. The South American star has put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
Estupinan was a fan favorite at Brighton but his exit after three years was on the cards once the Seagulls signed Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge earlier this summer.
Starting his career with Ecuadorian side LDU Quito in 2015, Estupinan joined English club Watford a year later. However, he didn’t make a single appearance for the Hornets and was loaned out to Granada, Almeria, Mallorca and Osasuna.
In 2020, Estupinan moved to Villarreal on a permanent deal and was part of the roster who won the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League.
He then moved to the Premier League in 2022 and filled the void at the Amex left by Marc Cucurella. Now, Estupinan can look forward to the latest chapter of his career in Serie A.
Pervis Estupinan Career Stats
Pervis Estupinan is set to replace Theo Hernandez as left back at Milan. The 27-year-old has big shoes to fill but his career stats suggest he could shine just as brightly as the France international.
Estupinan has 337 career appearances to date and has scored 11 goals and provided 29 assists. Despite only registering 27 clean sheets, the Ecuador star wins over 50% of his tackles at club level.
Going forward, Estupinan is a handle for opposition defenders and has 114 shots with 42 of those being on target. He has also managed 52 successful dribbles over the last three seasons.
The Rossoneri are certainly getting an exciting talent who will aim to patrol the left flank in 2025-26. Max Allegri’s side are already 3/5 with Serie A betting sites to finish in the top four this season now that Estupinan is on board.
