Kevin De Bruyne has lifted the lid on what trophy he wants to win the most at Napoli in the 2025-26 campaign.

De Bruyne completed a free transfer to the Serie A champions in June after spending ten years with Man City. During his time at the Etihad, the midfield maestro won 16 major honors.

Throughout his glorious career, De Bruyne has also landed a plethora of individual awards. They include the Bundesliga and Premier League Player of the Year, Champions League Team of the Season (2) and Belgian Sportsman of the Year.

With De Bruyne about to start a new venture in Naples, the 34-year-old has highlighted what he wants to win this season with the Azzurri fighting on four fronts.

Furthermore, he also talked in detail about the key differences between former boss Pep Guardiola and current head coach Antonio Conte.

Who Will Kevin De Bruyne Make His Serie A Debut Against?

Napoli are the +188 with offshore sportsbooks to retain the Scudetto in 2025/26. The Azzurri’s chances of success increased dramatically with the signing of Kevin De Bruyne this summer.

With vital minutes already under his belt in pre-season, De Bruyne is in line to make his Serie A debut against Sassuolo. The Neroverdi welcome the champions to the Mapei Stadium on August 23.

In terms of his first Italian top-flight fixture on home soil, the Belgian is set to feature against Cagliari seven days later. Antonio Conte’s side will then face Fiorentina on September 13.

What Did Kevin De Bruyne Say About Pep Guardiola And Antonio Conte?

“I’d say that they have two different ways of playing. Pep is probably a little more attentive to ball control and possession, while Conte is a little more structured in the game and focuses a lot on mentality.

“Pep works more on space,” De Bruyne told Corriere dello Sport in an exclusive interview that was published on Wednesday.

“There are a couple of different things, but each coach has their own principles and characteristics.

“At the moment, we haven’t focused much on the personal aspects. We’re working for the team. He gives us collective instructions for everyone’s positions. We’ll probably talk about more specific things later.”

Kevin De Bruyne On The Trophy He Wants To Win Most

After winning 24 trophies so far in his club career, Kevin De Bruyne is hungry for more. He has won seven league titles in England and Belgium as well as the DFB-Pokal in Germany.

Most notably, De Bruyne was a Champions League winner with Man City in 2023. The 1-0 success over Inter completed a historic treble for the Cityzens.

Replicating that feat at Napoli this season would be one of soccer’s finest ever achievements. Something of which De Bruyne played down, but didn’t rule out.

“Because there are so many competitions, it’s difficult to say that we’ll win everything. In fact, I can’t say it. You have to start playing, then maybe you win one game, then another and keep moving.

“We hope to finish as high as possible on all fronts, but it depends on many situations, like opponents, injuries and other factors. You have to base the end of your season on what happened during it.”

Having won six Premier League titles in England, De Bruyne admitted adding the Scudetto to his collection would be the trophy he’d want to win the most.

“Probably the Scudetto, but I never want to choose. I’ll take whatever I can win. Having never played in Italy, though, the league championship would be a good goal, that would be very cool. But it hasn’t started yet, so we’ll see.”
