The latest Yann Bisseck injury update has revealed the Inter star is in line to feature in the friendly clash against Monza on August 12.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Cristian Chivu’s side is also set to welcome back Piotr Zielinski against the recently-relegated Biancorossi.
It’ll be the Nerazzurri’s second club friendly match this summer owing to their involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.
On Friday, the Serie A runners-up ran out 2-1 winners against Monaco at the Stade Louis II. Maghnes Akliouche gave the French side the lead inside two minutes.
Hakan Calhanoglu was sent off for two bookable offences with 36 minutes on the clock. However, Lautaro Martinez and new signing Ange-Yoan Bonny scored in the second period to give the Italians the W.
Inter Milan Results
The Inter Milan results from across this summer have been something of a mixed bag. However, that hasn’t deterred offshore sportsbooks from making the Nerazzurri +300 to land the Scudetto in 2025-26.
In the Club World Cup group stages, Cristian Chivu’s side drew their opening fixture 1-1 against Monterrey. The disappointing result was followed up with solid wins against Urawa Reds and River Plate.
However, global success eluded the Italian giants when they went down 2-0 to Fluminense in the round of 16. That did at least allow the players an early trip home to rest, recover and prep for the new campaign.
And after Friday’s win in Monaco, it appears that Chivu’s plans, tactics and methods are coming to fruition. A strong victory in their penultimate pre-season game will certainly reinforce their chances of Serie A success this season.
Yann Bisseck Injury Update
Ahead of the game against Monza, the latest Yann Bisseck injury update has provided a huge boost to Inter. It’ll potentially be the German’s first appearance since May.
Bisseck’s last outing came in the humiliating 5-0 thrashing by PSG in the Champions League final. The 24-year-old only came on with 53 minutes on the clock but suffered a hamstring strain.
He was then subbed out for Matteo Darmian in the 62nd minute as he was unable to carry on. Nerazzurri head coach Cristian Chivu has not rushed Bisseck back with his future at the club very much in doubt.
With Bisseck being pursued by a number of English clubs, Inter are ready to give up on Parma defender Giovanni Leoni in favor of Jakub Kiwior. Therefore, giving Bisseck minutes against Monza could be vital to his proposed exit.
Yann Bisseck Transfer News
During the off-season, a number of English Premier League sides have kept tabs on Yann Bisseck. The likes of Aston Villa, Everton and Man United have all been linked with the German.
Nonetheless, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace have shown the strongest interest. Both had bids in the region of €32m for the 6ft 5in centre-half rejected recently. Inter will only enter into negotiations for €40m or more.
In an ideal world, Cristian Chivu would like to keep Bisseck at the San Siro. The Romanian head coach has also shortlisted a number of potential suitors to replace Bisseck if he does eventually move on.
For now though, it’s likely that Bisseck will don the famous Nerazzurri jersey on Tuesday and again on Saturday when they meet Olympiacos at the Stadio San Nicola.
