Atalanta have entered the 2025/26 season with a host of changes following the departure of Gian Piero Gasperini, with the veteran manager taking the reins at Roma.

One team that will not be disappointed by Lookman’s absence is Atalanta’s upcoming opponents, Parma, who suffered a 2-0 defeat to Juventus on the opening Serie A weekend.

Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic were on target to secure all three-points for Juve and Parma were dominated from start to finish despite Andrea Cambiaso being sent off towards the latter stages.

Carlos Cuesta, who became the youngest manager in Europe after taking the Parma job in June 2025, has seen his side pick up a competitive victory after beating Pescara in the Coppa Italia.

The 30-year-old will be hoping to find his first league win against Atalanta and will be boosted by Parma’s last meeting against La Dea, winning 3-2 back in May.
