According to the latest Francesco Pio Esposito contract update, bumper new terms are set to be offered to the Inter Milan starlet.

Esposito has already scored his first Serie A and senior Azzurri goal this season. Many in Italy’s elite consider the 20-year-old one of the brightest stars in European soccer.

With that in mind, Inter are keen to tie their prodigy down for the long-term. Not only as a reward for his rapid rise, but to ward off interest from other heavyweights across the continent.

Francesco Pio Esposito Contract Update

In September, Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito was described as a “great talent” by Nerazzurri president Beppe Marotta. Now, he and sporting director Piero Ausilio are prepared to reward the academy star.

According to Capology, Pio Esposito currently earns a base salary of €1.85million per year. That equates to just over €35,000 a week.

Even though he signed a new deal until 2030 in spring, Inter wants to considerably increase his pay packet. It’s understood that the reported offer on the table will be at least double what he currently pockets.

After the start he has had to the 2025-26 campaign – both domestically and on the international stage – that is an attractive proposal for Pio Esposito to consider.

What Clubs Have Shown An Interest In Francesco Pio Esposito?

Inter head coach Cristian Chivu – who Francesco Pio Esposito heaped praise on back in August – will be hopeful that his young starlet re-commits his future to the club.

Especially as it was reported on October 14 that a €50m offer was turned down for Pio Esposito from an unnamed club. That in itself highlights how fondly potential suitors think of the Italy star.

Maurizio Sarri was reportedly interested in the summer but the Lazio transfer ban ended those aspirations. A number of smaller clubs in Serie A were also keen on a loan move. However, the Nerazzurri knew he was ready for the senior side.

It’s more than likely that if Pio Esposito continues to flourish, Europe’s heavyweights will all be casting an eye over Pio Esposito. Whether he pens a new contract or not.

Francesco Pio Esposito Career Stats

Having risen through the youth ranks at Inter, Francesco Pio Esposito really made his mark whilst on loan at Spezia in the 2024-25 season.

During his time in Serie B, Pio Esposito hit 19 goals across all competitions in 40 outings. Furthermore, he was also named as the league’s Player of the Year during his first loan spell at the Alberto Picco the season previous.

Such stats meant the Nerazzurri senior side was the next natural progression. And Pio Esposito has wasted no time in taking his chances.

Against Cagliari on MD5, the 20-year-old hotshot netted his first Serie A goal. Pio Esposito also netted his first senior Azzurri goal in the 3-1 victory against Estonia in WCQ on October 11.

All that remains now is to get off the mark in the Champions League. A competition in which he has featured in both opening games. Overall, Pio Esposito has scored 24 times from 87 appearances.
