With the latest round of Dusan Vlahovic transfer news firmly linking the Juventus striker with Barcelona, would the Serbian international fill the potential void left by Robert Lewandowski? 

Vlahovic has enjoyed a fine start to the season for the Bianconeri under the guidance of Igor Tudor. Despite being mainly used from the bench, the Serbian has still registered four goals and an assist across eight appearances.

Although Bayern are keen on Dusan Vlahovic, the Bundesliga champions would only thoroughly explore that option if Harry Kane was to quit the Allianz Arena. And as it stands, that looks extremely unlikely.

Kane recently admitted he was happy in Germany and isn’t rushing to leave. Therefore, Barcelona have jumped to the front of the queue for Vlahovic.

However, the Serbian international will need to concentrate on improving all aspects of his game to ensure he maximizes his potential that wowed supporters during his time with Fiorentina.

Still only 25, Vlahovic has his best years ahead of him and if he were to join Barca, having the likes of Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong around him will only help enhance his goal tally.

Granted, his contract saga has certainly dampened his relationship with the Old Lady faithful. However, his stats and potential to reach superstar status have attracted Barcelona’s attention.
