The latest Jonathan David Serie A transfer news has revealed the Brooklyn-born star could leave Juventus in January. 

David only joined the Bianconeri from Lille in the summer. The 25-year-old left the Ligue 1 side after five years and famously scored a winning Champions League goal against Real Madrid in 2024-25.

However, his move to Italy has not worked out and an Allianz Stadium exit is now a stark possibility. A number of Europe’s elite have already declared their interest.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bayern Munich and Tottenham are keen to boost their attacking options and view Jonathan David as the perfect candidate.

The general feeling in the Juventus camp is that a January deal can be navigated. Especially on a permanent basis as that will generate a today profit.

David left Lille upon the expiry of his contract so no transfer fee was involved. Even a loan deal with an option/obligation to buy would also be considered by the Old Lady.

The Canadian international – who was born in New York – still has a market value of €45million. Bayern and Spurs have enough resources to negotiate but Juve will certainly dictate any potential move away.

In ten Serie A games this season, David has only scored once. That solitary strike came in the 2025-26 season opener against Parma. He has just one assist to his name, too.

That return is deemed not good enough from the Bianconeri faithful. Even former boss Igor Tudor wasn’t impressed and limited David’s playing time. He has appeared in just 51% of the available minutes this season.

On matchday 9, the 25-year-old forward came on as a late sub against Udinese and once again failed to impress. David will likely start on the bench against Cremonese on matchday 10.

Although Jonathan David has seen his career stagnate somewhat at Juventus, the Canada star was one of the hottest properties in European soccer during his time at Lille.

In his five years with the Ligue 1 side, David scored an impressive 109 times from 232 appearances across all competitions. He also chipped in with 30 assists.

David was part of Les Dogues side who won Ligue 1 in 2020-21. That season, the 25-year-old was 13 goals in 48 outings in what was his debut season at the club.

Prior to that, David scored 37 times in 87 appearances for Belgian Pro League club Gent. With that in mind, it’s easy to see why the likes of Bayern and Tottenham remain interested. Even if Serie A has proven to be a stumbling block.
