Real Madrid Are Not Expected To Entertain Rival Bids For Como Star Nico Paz

Como are not likely to receive a number of bids from rival clubs for Real Madrid target Nico Paz next summer. 

That is according to sports journalist and transfer whiz Alfredo Pedulla. Paz has been one of the standout stars for the Biancoblu since the club returned to Italy’s top-flight.

The Argentine international has taken Serie A by storm after moving to the Sinigaglia in 2024. To date, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has provided a goal contribution in 50% of his games for Cesc Fabregas’ side.

Como Don’t Anticipate Rival Offers For Nico Paz

With Real Madrid expected to exercise Nico Paz’s buyback clause – which stands at a modest €8million – current employers Como don’t believe the LaLiga giants will face many complications.

The fee will become active upon the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. Even though serious doubts remain over Xabi Alonso’s long-term future at the Bernabeu, Los Blancos still wants to acquire the starlet.

In the off-season, the Spanish giants passed up on the opportunity to bring Paz back to Madrid. It was decided another year in Italy would prove more beneficial and so far, that has very much proven the case.

What Other Clubs Were Interested In Nico Paz?

On October 24, FootItalia’s Serie A transfer rumors linked Nico Paz with Inter Milan. Last season’s runners-up were reportedly willing to part with €60m for the Argentine ace.

Even if that move were to come to fruition, Real Madrid are entitled to a 50% sell-on fee from Como. Therefore, that had the potential to net Los Blancos €30m.

Elsewhere, English Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also shown interest. In the summer, Tottenham also threw their name into the mix but Como ruled out a possible move.

Paz’s Goals, Assists And Como Accolades

In the 2024-25 season, Nico Paz registered six goals and nine assists from 35 league outings. Such a return earned the Argentine international a place in the official Serie A Team of the Season.

Paz was also named as the Best Under 23 Player in Serie A and also landed a place in The Athletic’s Serie A Team of the Season. In 2025-26, Paz won August and September’s Serie A Rising Star of the Month.

In terms of goals and assists, the 21-year-old already has five of each to his name. Only Riccardo Orsolini, Hakan Calhanoglu and Lautaro Martinez are above Paz in the scoring charts.

His meteoric rise has certainly not gone unnoticed and with Real Madrid the only frontrunners to re-sign the star, they’ll be acquiring one of the finest talents in world soccer.
