Atalanta's fortunes have been flipped on their head since the arrival of manager Raffaele Palladino, and the underlying stats suggest their confidence may be lifted that little bit more against Chelsea.

Atalanta vs Chelsea pits to two teams against each other who arrive on matchday six of the Champions League with 10 points, leaving both sides teetering on the edge of automatic qualification to the last 16.
The former will no doubt be hopeful that a change of scenery on the continent may remedy their poor form of late, which has seem them fail to win each of their last three Premier League fixtures.
Curiously, that winless run came immediately after putting Barcelona to the sword last time out in the Champions League, so the Blues are yearning to tap into that kind of form once again.
As for Atalanta, their new manager bounce appeared to have no limits as they stormed to three successive victories – scoring nine in the process – under Raffaele Palladino who is already planning a January overhaul to keep momentum at a constant.
Relegation-threatened Verona miraculously ended that purple patch, however, but morale is slowly being repaired after a dismal start to the campaign under Ivan Juric.

Chelsea will view this fixture as the optimal time to get their season back on track, but their troubling form away from home – both domestically and in Europe – is a significant stumbling block.
Chelsea are without a win in their previous four away games in the Champions League (D1 L3). Not since February 2012 have they gone five games without a win.
After failing to beat Bayern Munich and Qarabag, Enzo Maresca could also become just the third Chelsea manager to fail to win of any of his first three away matches in the competetion, joining Andre Villas-Boas and Luiz Felipe Scolari on that unwanted milestone.
This is only compounded by consecutive draws against Leeds and Bournemouth to kick off December.

Atalanta’s Champions League Clean Sheet Record is Only Bettered By One Team
Not only will Chelsea be forced to overcome their own transgressions of late, but Atalanta have also proven to be a prickly opponent in the Champions League.
It is interesting to note that Inter Milan are the only team who boast a better clean sheet ratio in the past two seasons than Atalanta, who have kept eight in 15 Champions League games (53%).
