Roma plot Dragusin and Frendrup move as Zirkzee and Raspadori transfer plan set

Roma are reportedly drawing up January plans involving Radu Dragusin, Morten Frendrup, Joshua Zirkzee and Giacomo Raspadori.

Giallorossi sporting director Frederic Massara is working on targets Gian Piero Gasperini believes can add depth in pursuit of Champions League football.
Dragusin currently plies his trade for Tottenham, but his time in London has not been great so far.
He has been out of action for most of the year due to an ACL injury and only returned to the matchday squad on December 20.
Roma have taken an interest in Dragusin, whose Serie A experience make him an interesting and realistic profile.
Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Roma want Dragusin next month and will resume work on him after Christmas.
Meanwhile, RomaPress describe Dragusin as a defensive idea alongside Chelsea’s Axel Disasi.
However, Milan are reported to be better placed for Disasi than the Stadio Olimpico side.
Gasperini is said to be an admirer of the Romania international, who in turn is tempted to move to the capital to revive his career.
Any deal would depend on Tottenham’s stance. Thomas Frank may want to take a closer look at Dragusin now he’s back.
Roma also want midfield reinforcements, and Morten Frendrup of Genoa is a target Gasperini approves, reports suggest.
The Giallorossi could be willing to discuss a swap deal involving Frendrup and Nicolo Pisilli, who Genoa’s Daniele De Rossi likes.
Roma reportedly asked for Frendrup’s price in November, with Inter also tracking the Denmark midfielder.
Forwards on shortlist
Up front, Joshua Zirkzee remains a leading option for Roma as talks with Manchester United continue.
Zirkzee has reportedly given the Giallorossi the green light, though United must still decide whether to approve a January exit.
The Gazzetta claims Roma will return to Zirkzee after Christmas, pushing for a loan with an option to buy.
The Giallorossi are reportedly also pursuing Giacomo Raspadori, currently at Atletico Madrid, to add a different profile.
Roma are expected to resume talks with Atletico’s directors after Christmas, aiming for favourable conditions to bring Raspadori back to Italy.
It appears that Evan Ferguson is on thin ice at Roma, hence the club’s pursuit of other options up front.
With Gasperini’s side flying high in Serie A, the hierarchy is looking to strike while the iron’s hot.
