Pisa vs Atalanta saw the hosts score a late equalizer to cancel out a would-be winner just four minutes before, and in doing so extended a worrying record for La Dea.
Atalanta’s recent purple patch was undone in one fell swoop as debutant Rafiu Durosinmi met a cross from Mehdi Léris on 87 minutes.
It was a rare home goal for Pisa, with Durosinmi’s leveller just their second at the Arena Garibaldi all season.
Atalanta, who entered the match expecting to collect three points for a fourth gameweek in a row, struggled to gain any sort of foothold as a spirited Pisa showed they will not yield in the relegation battle this season.

Much like AC Milan’s bottom-half record and failure to beat any of the newly promoted sides this season, Atalanta were once again undone by Serie A newcomers.

Friday’s result leaves Atalanta picking up the pieces to build their momentum up again, as they look to close the gap on the European places.
A win in Pisa would have moved them level on points with sixth-placed Como, albeit temporarily, but Cesc Fabregas’ side now have the opportunity to stretch the gap to five points when they play Lazio on Monday.
Rafiu Durosinmi Scores Pisa’s Second Home Goal of the Season
It took Pisa newcomer Rafiu Durosinmi just 28 minutes to open his account after making a club-record €10m switch from Viktoria Plzen last week.
The Nigerian was named Man of the Match, and gave the Pisa faithful plenty to be optimistic about with goals coming few and far between this season.
As mentioned, that was only Pisa’s second goal at home across the entire campaign, and just their 16th in 21 games.
