Moise Kean Hands Fiorentina Ultimatum After Attracting Interest From Saudi Arabia
Fiorentina are at risk of losing one of their star players this summer.
Moise Kean has handed Fiorentina an ultimatum as the Italian continues to attract interest from Saudi Arabia.
Moise Kean Hands Fiorentina Ultimatum
The Azzurri international has been linked with a move away from Fiorentina for several months and Kean has reportedly taken a further step towards a summer exit.
After an impressive 2024/25 campaign in Florence, scoring 19 goals in Serie A, Kean was being monitored by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
His contract included a €52million release clause between July 1st–15th and this has been increased to €62m after signing a renewed deal in August.
This means that outside of the two-week period in July, Fiorentina were unwilling to consider any bid below €70m – but the Italian’s value has lowered after a poor 2025/26 campaign.
Kean has scored just five goals in 20 Serie A appearances and La Viola have been in the relegation zone for almost the entire season so far.
According to reports, Kean is willing to force a move away from Florence if La Viola fail to avoid relegation this season and will still consider a summer exit if the club maintain their Serie A status.
Fiorentina were unable to bring in all of their targets during the January window, failing to sign Kosta Nedeljkovic from Aston Villa despite a complete agreement.
Paolo Vanoli did add Jack Harrison, Manor Solomon, Marco Brescianini, Daniele Rugani and Giovanni Fabbian in hopes of climbing out the bottom three.
These additions will not fill the hole left by Moise Kean if he leaves during the summer and this has become even more likely after a growing interest from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia Move Tempts Moise Kean
Although competing in Europe is top of Kean’s list of priorities, the Italian striker is reportedly willing to complete a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Al Hilal are said to be huge admirers of the Fiorentina star and see Kean as a strong candidate to support Karim Benzema after the Frenchman’s controversial move from Al Ittihad.
Benzema was set to become one of the most intriguing free agents available, alongside the likes of Raheem Sterling and Dele, but the former Real Madrid star decided to set his future until 2027.
Darwin Nunez is close to leaving the Saudi Arabian side after agreeing terms with Fenerbahce and this move could free up space for Kean ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Kean is currently earning an estimated €5.7m per year in Florence, which is significantly less than the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Theo Hernandez at Al Hilal.
Fiorentina would be forced into accepting a lower transfer fee if they drop into Serie B, but La Viola would also be willing to lower their asking price as Kean would be moving outside of Italy.
