Reports from Spain this evening suggest that Inter are in advanced negotiations to sign Memphis Depay from Barcelona, with Joaquin Correa moving to the Blaugrana in exchange.
Barca journalist Gerard Romero broke the news via his Twitch channel following the clubs 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercup earlier.
According to Romero, Correa has already agreed terms over a move, while Barca and Inter have also reached an agreement over a potential deal. The switch transfer will now depend on Depay and if he’s prepared to make the move to Serie A this winter.
The Blaugrana are looking to offload their fringe players in the months ahead as they look to reduce the club’s wage bill, with the Dutchman earning a reported €10.4m a year.
Depay has been a fringe player since the arrival of Robert Lewandowski and has made just two appearances so in La Liga this season.
