Galatasaray have had a first bid rejected for Nicolo Zaniolo but are still hopeful of agreeing a deal with Roma before Wednesday’s deadline. The Turkish transfer window closes on 8th February, giving the Turkish side 48 hours to try and finalise a move for the 23-year-old, and reports from Italy suggest it could be completed in the coming hours.

Sky Sport Italia reported yesterday evening that Galatasaray have had their opening bid of €22m plus add-ons rejected by the Giallorossi, however talks were continuing at pace. Their city rivals Fenerbahce have reportedly made last-minute enquires of their own regarding the player, however Zaniolo has reportedly agreed personal terms with Gala and is now waiting for them to agree a fee with Roma.

Calciomercato report that Zaniolo has already been booked for a medical and a flight to Turkey as there is growing confidence in the deal being agreed.

The 23-year-old has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal worth around €3.5m net per season, but the issue of the release clause still needs to be resolved, as the player wants to include one below €30m.
