Former Inter striker Mario Balotelli revealed how, ‘in theory’, he was supposed to join Juventus after leaving Manchester City. The 32-year-old was speaking on the Muschio Selvaggio podcast (as quoted by TuttoJuve) and explained how super-agent Mino Raiola wanted him to join the Bianconeri, but he opted to join Milan instead:
“Juventus? Would I have ever gone there? No. I had to go, after Manchester City I had an appointment in Turin with Beppe Marotta, Pavel Nedved and Antonio Conte, we talked about the team. Raiola had talked to the management, there was the offer. In theory I was supposed to go to Juve. On my return from Turin, Raiola called Adriano Galliani, told him he was sending me to Juve. And so I chose Milan. Juve has always been my antagonist, even though they are too strong.”
