Il Mattino report that Napoli are prepared for the every eventuality and should Osimhen leave this summer, they will once again look to Ligue 1 team Lille for his replacement.
The club are reportedly keen on 23-year-old Jonathan David, with De Laurentiis keen to look at Asian and American players in an effort to make Napoli appeal to a more international audience.
The newspaper claims the ‘operation’ is ‘still in the preliminary stages’, pointing to Napoli’s ability to pre-empt the market and sign promising young talent before their opposition.
