Paul Pogba’s season is potentially at an end after yet another injury setback for the French midfielder during Juve’s 2-0 win over Cremonese. The 30-year-old finally made his first start of the campaign but lasted just 20 minutes before pulling up with what looked to be a muscular injury.

Goal Italia’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti suggested that the injury was a ‘muscle problem in the quadriceps’ and Pogba would be evaluated in the coming hours.

Tuttosport (as quoted by Juvefc) suggest that the Frenchman is 99% likely to miss the Bianconeri’s upcoming Europa League semi-final match against Sevilla on Thursday.

The suggestion is that if Pogba’s injury is only muscle fatigue, he could be back in 7 days time, however if it’s a smaller muscular injury, it could stretch to 20 days, meaning his season is effectively over.

It’s a tough blow for Pogba who has spent the entire season on the sidelines, managing just a handful of games following a knee injury that he picked up in last summers pre-season tour.
