Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is expected to meet with president Aurelio De Laurentiis next week in a bid to finalise his move to Juventus. Giuntoli is considered the architect of much of the Partenopi’s success this season, having unearthed gems like Kim Min-Jae and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last summer, aiding their Scudetto push.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the sporting director now wants to agree a move to Juventus and end his time with Napoli ‘without controversy’ after eight years in Naples. The newspaper claims that Giuntoli sees his time with Napoli at an end, having capped off the season as title winners, but he has yet to agree a release from the final year of his contract with De Laurentiis.
Gazzetta suggest that a meeting will take place next week to finalise Giuntoli’s exit from the club, while Juventus are reportedly in a hurry to complete the move as they look to rebuild for next season.
