Cuadrado and Sandro expected to remain at Juventus

Start

Reports from Italian media suggest Juventus will extend the contracts of Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado for another season. The Brazilian left-back’s renewalwas considered a formality, once he had accrued the number of appearances required to trigger an automatic contract extension earlier this season.

Sky Sport Italia and la Gazzetta dello Sport now claim that Columbian international Cuadrado will join him by agreeing a deal to stay in Turin for another season.

La Stampa report on similar lines, claiming that the club has already agreed a one-year extension for the 34-year-old, while TuttoJuve report that the Bianconeri are expected to offer the player a lower salary. The reasoning for the renewal being that ‘the management do not want to deprive themselves entirely of a hard core of players  and still want to keep an experienced player in the squad.’

Cuadrado has been with Juventus since 2015, having made 312 appearances for the Old Lady, scoring 26 goals in all competitions.
