La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has agreed a five-year contract with Juventus. The former Carpi director has played a vital role in Napoli’s Scudetto success this season and was widely linked with the Bianconeri earlier this year, as well Premier League clubs like Manchester United.
La Gazzetta now report that the Bianconeri are keen on bringing the 51-year-old to Turin to help kickstart their rebuild this summer, which may not include European football next season.
The pink newspaper writes that Giuntoli has verbally agreed to a five-year contract with Juventus worth around €1.5m net per season, but personal terms are yet to be agreed to finalise the deal.
The Napoli director also needs to confirm his exit with Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is not happy at the thought of losing Giuntoli for free this summer, given that he still has a year left on his contract.
