AC Milan Pursue Loan Deal for Al Ahli’s Merih Demiral

Start

AC Milan is actively exploring the possibility of securing a loan move for Turkish defender Merih Demiral from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli. The Rossoneri, still in the hunt for defensive reinforcements, have reportedly revived their interest in the former Atalanta player, who made a switch to Al Ahli several months ago.

Gianluca di Marzio has disclosed that Milan has initiated talks with Demiral in the past few hours. The objective is to bring the Turkish international to San Siro on a loan basis until the end of the current season. However, this potential move is facing several complexities.

Firstly, Demiral’s salary demands are deemed to be significantly high, posing a challenge for Milan, who might find it hard to meet these financial requirements. Additionally, Al Ahli has not granted permission for Demiral to leave the club at this point. Despite these obstacles, Milan remains keen on securing the services of the talented Turkish star.

Demiral’s name had been previously associated with a potential move to Inter during his time at Atalanta, but the transfer never materialized.
